As interesting as the times we live in may be, there are undoubtedly unprecedented temporal pressures at work within architecture and design. From real-time to deep time, this I oA Lecture Series is an open-ended collection of creative acts situated in and propelling the so-called Tempor(E)alities. Thinking about temporalizing orders, logic, and notions in planning and design, the I oA Sliver Lecture Series is set to reflect on spatio-temporal entanglements in its broadest sense and aims to present various time perspectives through the lens of architecture and design.
All lectures are free and open to the public.

Studio Ossidiana (founded 2015) is a practice based in Rotterdam that works at the crossroads of architecture, design, public art, and landscape, led by Giovanni Bellotti and Alessandra Covini. Balancing research and fabrication, the practice explores innovative approaches through research, materials, objects, installations, and buildings. Studio Ossidiana’s ambition is to design usable and generous spaces, materials, and concepts, to both participate in a global architectural debate, as well as ground the thinking in the built environment, through permanent or temporary projects. In 2018, SO was awarded the Dutch Prix de Rome, the most prestigious prize in the Netherlands for architects under the age of 35. In 2023 Studio Ossidiana received the Sustainable Achievement Edida Award from Elle Decoration International during Milan Design Week, and the Public and Academic awards of the Shenzhen Architecture Biennale. In 2023 Studio Ossidiana received the ‘Premio Architettura Italiana - Under 35’ awarded by Maxxi Museum and the Triennale di Milano.
