With a childhood that took him from South Africa to Spain to England and then to Germany and now Austria, Philip Mentzingen’s work is colored by the many differing cultures he has experienced throughout his life. Philip Mentzingen currently lives and works in Vienna and will exhibit his largest series to date "Back Into Flight" at LOCOMOT Contemporary Art.

" I am primarily interested in things that trigger and stimulate the fragility of the human predicament and I have a fascination for power struggles," the artist comments.
