"Spuren/Sledi" ist eine Reiseausstellung mit Künstler_innen aus Österreich und Slowenien, die an 5 Stationen, entlang der Südbahnstrecke von Wien nach Venedig, Halt macht.
Die Kurator_innen, Denise Parizek und Vasja Nagy, reisen per Bahn mit den Kunstwerken von Wien über Graz, Maribor. Ljublijana und Koper nach Venedig und sind zwischen April und Dezember 2014 als Botschafter_innen zeitgenössischer Kunst unterwegs.
"Spuren/Sledi" stellt Österreich in einen gesamteuropäischen Kontext.
"Spuren/Sledi" ist 2014 die Ausstellung mit der größten Reichweite.
6 Städte, 3 Länder, gebündelte Energien für eine große Sache.
Zu einigen Ausstellungen werden von den Galerien ART-TALKS bzw. LECTURES mit Gästen aus Kunst, Wissenschaft und Medien veranstaltet. Die Gespräche, Videos und Fotos der Ausstellungen werden über die Webpage (Adresse) und Social Media (fb, google+, tumblr, Twitter) verbreitet.
SLEDI/SPUREN is a traveling exhibition. Its way leads along the tracks of the railway from Vienna to Venice, connecting 3 countries and 12 artists,
2014 is a significant year.
100 years after the burst of World War 1 we are just in time for reflecting the changes Europe went through, rethinking where we are coming from and heading to.
The project's main focus is establishing an exchange between the participating artists and sharing working processes.
Following the railtracks we are tracing a former connection.
100 years ago the southern railway, connecting Vienna and Trieste, was one of the most important communication channels in Europe. Artists from Slovenia and Austria deal with this traditional route, with building and destroying identities, with their ancestors and generations to come.
