"The works could be seen as meta-collages, as the collage itself is purpose and not final result. Papers from a paper-bloc for children, a kit with sticker pads, are torn, turned around, switched, ripped and newly put together. A subversive intervention against the conform and monotone intention of the game.
The multi layered paper works, coming from tactile interventions, are analogue objects that are then treated digitally. Later on they are printed on strongly colour absorbing silk tissue paper, which adds another colour dimension and permanence. A new technique that I developed.
During the work process the look through the lens of a camera becomes a stolen, introspective moment that creates distance and therefore objectivity enabling the next step. Incidences regulate the working method.
The partial transparency and apparent fragility of the silk paper furthers a deception of the materiality. No art without misunderstandings."
