The filibuster is a political tactic for a minority voice to delay passage of a generally polemic law in the United States Senate. Senators essentially ?talk a bill to death,? speaking until the end of that day?s voting session and forcing its rescheduling to a later date. The senator must speak constantly. He or she may not leave to go to the bathroom and must remain standing - their diet while speaking is restricted to water, milk, and candies from the desk of the senior senator of Pennsylvania. Many senators prepare physically and wear sneakers and diapers to be able to manage the demands of these choreographic restraints written into United States procedural law.

Bryan Campbell is writing a filibuster, a 6-8 hour monologue to be performed in theaters, gallery spaces, gardens, protests, sanctuaries, and anywhere a little creative obstructionism might do the people good.
For Lazy Life, he will present three excerpts, focusing on three word/themes at the intersections of personal and global politics.
