Due to popular demand for our studio visits, we are happy to offer all attendees and those unable to get a place at the tour an introduction to how to step into the game. On this evening before the tour, the participating developers will give short presentations of their studios and take part in a roundtable discussion. Following an introduction round, the studio representatives will discuss present chances and challenges concerning education, internships, recruitment and team building.

Johanna Schober (Sproing)
Sproing, founded in 2001, is Austria?s leading game developer and since 2014 a game publisher as well. As one of the foremost independent studios focused on the creation of multi-platform games, the company has successfully shipped around 60 retail games on all major platforms. In 2010 Sproing began leveraging that experience to become a major creator of Free-to-Play games. The portfolio encompasses numbers of well-known games including Panzer Tactics HD, Asterix & Friends, Skyrama. At the moment Sproing is working on Quarantine, a turn based strategy game about waging war on global disease and 3 unannounced projects.
Johanna joined Sproing in 2003 and worked as a Project Manager and Development Director before assuming her current role as COO in 2011. She is responsible for finance, studio operations, process development, growth and team management. Johanna studied at FH Salzburg and holds an MBA in Entrepreneurship.

Martin Filipp (Mi?pu?mi Games)
Mi?pu?mi Games is a Vienna-based independent game development company run by veteran developers with 10+ years industry experience. Founded in 2009 by former Rockstar Vienna employees, the team is steadily increasing and has reached 30 employees in 2017. The studio works on big brands and cutting edge technology and has experience with large AAA productions as well as smaller projects under rigid tech and budget constraints. The company?s track record includes games on all platforms, starting with the educational series ?Animal World? and ?Animal Life? on Nintendo DS, continuing with ?Last Mysteries?, a Diablo-style free to play Browser MMO and covers also Facebook and mobile games. In recent years the studio added global franchises like ?Hitman HD: Trilogy?, a remastered game bundle containing 3 Hitman games for PS3 and Xbox 360 and the highly praised ?Anno? franchise with ?Anno – Build an Empire? for iOS and Android, to its profile .
At the moment Mi?pu?mi Games is supporting Io-Interactive on the current ?HITMAN? for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The studio is also collaborating with Red Bull on the global phenomenon Mind Gamers Challenge.
Furthermore Mi?pu?mi Games started successfully the development of its first own IP in 2016, ?The Lion?s Song?, an episodic, narrative driven point and click adventure for PC and mobile platforms. Mi?pu?mi originates from Japan and means respectively ?3 steps forward?.
