After 15 years of successful game development, Sproing went through a restructuring process and a substantial wave of lay-offs in late 2016. In this talk, COO Johanna Schober wants to share what lead to this situation, how they managed it and what learnings they took from it.
She will touch on how their business model evolved over time, what new challenges and opportunities came with that and how Sproings attempt to grasp them did not work out. At least not this time around.
This will be a business-heavy session with very few fancy pictures, geared towards developers in all kinds of business models. It will probably also use one or two swear-words.
