?AJNHAJTCLUB? explores the history of this community as reflected in these clubs, which were not only regarded as spaces for maintaining and bolstering cultural identity and for providing a sense of participation, but also provided a vent for nostalgia towards the old homeland.
At Schleifmühlgasse 12-14 Bogomir Doringer will talk about his project.
?AJNHAJTCLUB? opening reception is on Tuesday 5 July, at 7 pm at MuseumsQuartier Wien, at freiraum 21.
Einer Einladung vom Ministerium für Migration und dem Museumsquartier folgend, kuratiert Bogomir Doringer 2016 eine Ausstellung zum Thema "Gastarbeit".
In der "Schleifmühlgasse 12-14" stellt der Künstler und Kurator sein Projekt vor und spricht über Vergangenheit und Zukunft von Migration.
Bogomir Doringer wuchs im ehemaligen Jugoslawien auf. Er wurde direkter Zeuge des Zerfalls, dessen Spuren und Eindrücke seine künstlerische Laufbahn prägten.
