As more and more video game developers recognize the need to localize their games for different markets, they are beginning to pay more attention to issues of localization as they develop their games. This presentation provides answers to questions such as: What are the most important challenges while localizing a game into different languages/countries? What are crucial aspects of localization (translation, audio, testing) that must be taken into account in the process? Some best practices, metrics, and examples of cultural challenges – and some solutions to them – will be presented throughout the presentation.

Kurzbiographie
Marie Amigues is the CEO of Altagram GmbH, a multilingual video game localization specialist based in Berlin. Marie founded her first company in the video game localization industry 10 years ago. Together with her team and partners, she has successfully localized over 2,000 video game titles for prestigious clients such as Microsoft Game Studios, Warner Bros, Ubisoft, EA and Square Enix, receiving critical acclaim for many of the localized versions.
