Gastvortrag Kamilla Kard

In her work, Kamilia Kard translates attitudes, feelings and thoughts into form. Both conceptual and formal research are very important in her practice and she uses the languages available to her without limitations. A concept born in a 3D modeling environment can be translated into a 3D printed sculpture, an interactive environment, a video animation, a digital painting. Her interest in classical and “traditional” images, culled from the immense archive offered by the Internet - from Paleolitical Venuses to Reinassence paintings to XIX century Russian realism - is almost always inspired by personal stories, memories and fantasies.
