Studierende des Instituts für Kunst und Architektur stellen an vier Abenden im Sommersemester 2019 in der Akademiebibliothek aus. Den Anfang der Reihe Kunst und Architektur machen Resultate des Entwurfsprojekts Environments for Architectural Education II - The Library für einen neuartigen Bibliothekstyp, einen im literarischen und räumlichen Sinne fantastischen Lernort einer Architekturschule. Der nächste Ausstellungsbeitrag Anima Ex Machina erforscht künstliche Identität in Bezug auf Mythologie, Feminismus und virtuelle Realität. In der dritten Veranstaltung präsentieren Studierende des IKA als Herausgeber_innen mit dem Magazin blank ein neues, international angelegtes Publikationsformat für Ideen. Die Ausstellung Everyday? schließlich zeigt unterschiedliche (fotografische) Perspektiven auf alltägliche Bilder, die Normen hinterfragen und neugierig auf Ungewohntes machen.

blank is a new international students publication that serves as a blank space for everyone’s ideas. It might be nothingness and emptiness, but it also is the potential to be filled by our imagination. We see it as a free space, as a start, perhaps a challenge - an opportunity for sure.
The topic of the first issue is blank just like the name of the publication itself. The publication contains an array of literary, visual, critical and artistic contributions from all around the world by:

Iklim Dogan, born 1994 in Eskisehir, studies Art and Architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna and philosophy at the University of Vienna. Exhibitions in Mürzzuschlag, Dessau, Vienna and Istanbul.
Ella Melina Felber, born 1994 in Vienna, studies Art and Architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Exhibitions in Vienna and Berlin.
Paul Knopf, born 1997 in Witzenhausen (Germany), studies Art and Architecture at the Bauhaus-Universität Weimar and the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. He is also an editor at “HORIZONTE - Magazine for Architectural Discourse” which is based in Weimar.
Lisa Penz, born 1996 in Vöcklabruck, studied graphic design in Linz and studies Art and Architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
Sebastian Seib, born 1996 in Telfs (Tyrol), studied graphic design in Innsbruck, works in wayfinding design and studies Art and Architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna.
Luka Lucija Sola, born 1994 in Zagreb, studies Art and Architecture at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna. Exhibited in the Museum of Tourism in Opatija, Croatian Design Society in Zagreb, and the Architecture Centre in Vienna. lukasola.pb.photography
