A storage space turned opportunity room: Aussenstelle Kunst
Aussenstelle Kunst in the 5th district is operating in what was initially a storage space of the closeby restaurant Gaststätte Woracziczky. A room barely wider than its entrance door, caterer Marion Jambor saw the chance to realize an artistic playground where young creators can realize projects free of charge. Since November 2022, a new show, exhibition, or even music release event has been taking place every month. (Hint: On July 1st, Marion will for once take the stage herself in an 8-hour-kitsch reading performance.)

Prophecy

Sound-centered creativity beyond auditive: echoraum
echoraum has been established in 1988 and hence has a long history as a space for finding new approaches and bend the lines between artistic practices. While there is a special focus on sound and music, echoraum understands itself as a site for experimentation, discourse and co-production. Since 2022, Alisa Beck and Sara Zlanabitnig organize the program and offer a mix of auditive, visual, and intellectual shows and events.

Finding the mutuality in our diversity: Improper Walls
Established in 2014, Improper Walls is an interdisciplinary and international space with special interests in Eastern Europe and the Global South. In ever-evolving practices, its shows always aim to recognize the social and cultural dimensions of the artworks. Located in a lively neighborhood, its Grätzloase doesn’t only extend the exhibition space but also invites the neighborhood for exchange.
