Cars made room for artistic production in St. Marx: Neuer Kunstraum Wien
In its location in the 3rd district, Neuer Kunstverein Wien is now outstandingly good at one thing: giving artists space. Situated in a former car dealership in St. Marx, they are able to host the creative process. In their curation, Neuer Kunstverein Wien balances national and international artists as well as solo and group shows. As they only show four exhibitions per year, large-scale works can be realized on-site in the meantime.

Collaboration all the way in the second district: GOMO
Having met while studying TransArts at Angewandte, GOMO was founded by four women artists to serve as a platform for creatives like them. While still putting an emphasis on FLINTA*, Gomo also emphasizes international collaborations by joining projects and creating exhibitions with spaces around Europe, including Leipzig and Copenhagen. While GOMO almost exclusively exhibits curated works of other artists, you might find some pieces by the GOMO members in their joint shows abroad.

Relating arts and its political context: ENTRE
ENTRE is run by a two people team - while artist Marilyn curates the shows, physicist Scott is responsible for the “technical stuff”. Stemming from the USA, Marilyn’s curation originally focused on cultural and interpersonal exchange with artists in Cuba. While the range of topics she exhibits has expanded since all the shows taking place in ENTRE pick up the theme of human rights along with the factors that limit how they can be discussed.
