We are delighted to invite you to our finissage program, featuring an engaging lineup of events, including a lecture, an exhibition guided tour, a screening, artist talks, and music! Join us as we connect with artists and scientists whose practices focus on self-organization and self-sustainability, exploring these strategies as cornerstones of their work.
At the closing of the symposium, we will have a chance to hear an update on the current reserch by FOTOVOZ / Moritz Egger and Diana Ventura on “Sustainability Through the Eyes of Cocoa and Olive Farmers in Ecuador and Spain”, and to show a screening of the Super 8 Film performance documentation by Oscar Cueto, Manuela Picallo Gil, and Raphael Reichl accompanied by an artist talk.
We look forward to welcoming you for an inspiring evening of creativity, dialogue, and collaboration!

INTERSECTIONS of Art, Science, and Community is part of Galerie Utopia’s yearly program at the 4lthangrund Cultural Center. This symposium brings together educators and scholars working at the intersection of scientific research and artistic methodologies. Topics included DIY technologies, AI communication, cyborg bodies and digital twins robotics, agriculture and nature preservation, zombie studies, artificial fertilization, food production and animal protection, art strategies and community outreach - all explored within a social context. The symposium investigates how these interdisciplinary relationships influence communities across different localities, considering their potential for promoting social expansion or acting as invasive structures.
