Eroné & Amose - Derrière les Fagots

In 2011 we were happy to welcome the french artist Amose to Vienna for a solo show. He was also the first artist to paint on our rotating wall project on Siebensterngasse. We are now even more excited to welcome him back again 2 years later for a show with his long time collaborator and friend Eroné. The two French artists have been working together for years, perfecting their signature style of elongated elegant figures composed of various shapes. Although their characters are somehow similar, upon closer inspection one can immediately see the differences. Amose is very concentrated on clean lines and more defined details in his work. Whereas Eroné is free to allow his lines to explore the forms in a natural less perfect way. The show “Derrière les fagots” (which is an old french expression meaning something precious or special) will feature original works on paper, ink on plexiglass, and two very large wooden sculptures.

We look forward to welcoming you at INOPERAbLE this Wednesday, 2oth of March as of 19h. And if the damn weather gets better the artists look forward to painting a new mural on the streets as a thank you to Vienna!
