The young Iranian artist Katayoun Karami shows her work for the first time in Austria. In more than 60 small lightcases she tells a story about her country, her life and her thoughts.
„to be and not to know & to know and not to be” various pairs of open and closed eyes are watching you: male – female, young – old… the closed eyes are lit, the open ones are dark. Like in real life? Do we really watch carefully with our eyes opened or is our awareness turned off? Or do we rather want to close them to pretend not to see what´s happening around us?
