Last Supper

Wir zeigen im Rahmen des Kunstprojekts «Last! Supper.», am 28.11. um 19:30 Uhr im KulturRaum Neruda die Projektion eines Interviews mit dem pakistanischen Flüchtling Khan Adalat, der letztes Jahr an der Besetzung der Votivkirche und dem darauf folgenden Hungerstreik teilnahm, und seitdem unaufhörlich weiterkämpft um auf die unmenschliche Situation in der sich Flüchtlinge in ganz Europa befinden, aufmerksam zu machen.

Im ungeschnittenen Interview erzählt er über sich, die Situation in seiner Heimat, seine Flucht und dessen Gründe, die Fehler des österreichischen (und europäischen) Asylsystems und über die neun Jahre die er nun schon hier verbracht hat, in ständiger Unsicherheit abgeschoben zu werden.

On the 28th of November, at 7:30 p.m. we (Sini Coreth, Johannes Raimann & Dominic Spitaler) will show in the KulturRaum Neruda the projection of an interview with the Pakistani refugee Khan Adalat, who was part of the occupation of the Votivkirche last winter and the succeeding hunger strike. Incessantly he continues to fight to call attention to the unhuman conditions refugees in all of Europe face.

In the unedited Interview he talks about his background, the situation in his home country, his flight and its reasons, the flaws in the Austrian (and European) asylum system and those nine years he has now spent here, in permanent fear of being deported.
