INBETWEEN ist ein Format für Performance und zeitbasierte Medien der Schleifmühlgasse 12-14,
in dessen Rahmen Künstler_innen der Galerie neuentwickelte Performances,
als auch Zwischenstadien von Arbeiten oder work in progress-Projekten, präsentieren.
INBETWEEN läuft neben und zwischen dem regulären Ausstellungsprogramm.
Der Raum wird für Gastkünstler_innen geöffnet, die damit die Möglichkeit erhalten,
am Galerieprogramm zu partizipieren, was zu Kooperationsprojekten zwischen den Künstler_innen anregt.

Never gone for too long. Not sure about the return. Never easy. Not many good opportunities, but at least they sound better than back home. The presentation tells stories of birds, bears and bunnies that went abroad, in search of living decently.

Daniel Djamo (b.1987, lives and works in Bucharest) is a Romanian artist and film director that is interested in personal and group histories and tales. He combines film with video art and installation with photography in order to evoke the past and to underline “the now.”
Winner of the ESSL award, Henkel Art.Award. Young artist prize CEE, Startpoint Prize Romania and the Grand Prize of the National University of Fine Arts from Bucharest.
Daniel benefited from residencies in Paris, Kassel, Chemnitz, Bruxelles, Vienna and Liege.
He exhibited at the Museum of Moscow, Kunsthaus Dresden, Moscow Museum of Modern Art (MMOMA) and the ESSL museum from Vienna, while also presenting his works in Germany, Italy, Canada, Netherlands, USA, Russia, Portugal, Czech Republic, Estonia etc. His video artworks have been screened in numerous video art and film festivals.
He is a PhD candidate at the National University of Fine Arts from Bucharest.
