Hier geht’s nicht um Un­ter­hal­tung. Es geht darum Dinge zu sehen und sich mit ihnen auß­ein­an­der­zu­set­zen. Es geht darum an­zu­ecken. Pro­ble­me an­zu­spre­chen, dar­über nach­zu­den­ken und Ent­schei­dun­gen zu tref­fen. Es geht darum zu ver­än­dern. Nicht darum das „es ist wie es ist“ er­träg­li­cher zu ma­chen. Ich will Ge­schich­ten er­zäh­len, keine Kon­sum­gü­ter schaf­fen. Ich will träu­men ohne die Rea­li­tät aus den Augen zu ver­lie­ren. ich will den Träu­men ent­flie­hen, ich will sie Leben. Ich mach Kla­vier­mu­sik mit Tex­ten, was das genau heißt ist das was du dar­aus machst. Wenn du schon viel ge­hört hast wirst du si­cher­lich dich si­cher­lich an was er­in­nert füh­len. Wenn du viel er­lebt hast wohl auch. Aber um wei­ter­zu­kom­men muss das Rad nicht neu er­fun­den wer­den, auch wenn es schön ist wenn mal was pas­siert.

Margaret Unknown (A)
Max Bogner is a Viennese artist working with performance, sound, movement and various combinations thereof. Apart from an elementary focus on free improvisation and an inclination towards the intuitive his work also draws on more conceptualized approaches like trance, the unconscious mind, ritualism, density of time, occupation of space, altered room characteristics, the movement of sound, multi-speaker/feedback systems and the correlation of acoustic, electronic and sampled materials. He has performed solo, in duets, ensembles, and orchestras all over Europe and as a curator of the mo.e artspace in Vienna has initiated several international collaborations, workshops and festivals, establishing the mo.e as a hub for like-minded artists.
