Starting from the simple beginning point of a pie fight, TARTES wishes to deal with the ideas of those who have vs those who have not, in a homage to V?ra Chytilová’s iconic film “Daisies” (1966). It looks at power dynamics, questions of blame, feminism, political crisis, of domination and submission, and the sexualised consumerialism of popular culture, and relates it all to CAKE. An absurd and slightly surreal rendering of things familiar – a glass of water, a cooking show and dinner with friends. “Let us eat cake!?
