Raw Matters ? Large and Long

December is the month of celebrations and get-to-gethers and also for our annual Raw Matters – Large and Long evening. One last time in 2017 we would like to invite you to immerse yourself into raw and artistic experimentation.

We are delighted to spend the evening of WEDNESDAY, December 13th with wonderful artists from the fields of dance, performance, visual arts, music and sound, and prepared an extra large and long programme for our evening at Arbeitsplatz Wien:

The durational performance UNA CUESTIÓN DE PERCEPCÌON from visual artist Nina Fountedakis and soundartist Leo Bettinelli plays with the (in)ability to relate to nature, while creating room for contemplation and presence.

In WATCHDOGS the artists Milan Lovi?ka & @Otto Krause take on the idea of a practicing ethnologist. They examine the durational effects of repetitive and stereotypical behaviour on perception and oral description and play with contemporary conundrums of surveillance.

With the performance WORK?N?FASCIA Eve Chariatte poses the hypothesis that the fascia tissue can be the trigger for body productions and eventually for a new human kind.

The Vienna based Dutch - Russian electroacoustic alliance Frans Poelstra, Oleg Soulimenko, Zmiyevska Oksana will offer you some fleshy lo-fi tunes, loaded voices, stubborn faces and deep thoughts with their durational concert performance IT?S BEEN A (NOT SO) HARD DAY?S NIGHT.

Manuel Wagner, Tobias Leibetseder and Patric Redl with their performative sound project WASCHBÄR, a funny, joyful and unpredictable combo where ‘Evil Trash Hip Hop’ besides ‘Gangster Technoblues’ up to’Waschbär Fairytale Stories’ can be found.

With NO THING Nici Rutrecht will surrender to everything and let her true impulses fly free.

Sarah Blumi, Guillaume Pellay and Thomas Delahaye play with the figure of the HOBO.

In WOULD YOU DANCE (IF I ASKED YOU TO) Friederike Heine shares her work in progress performance that deals and interviews itself while breaking up the performative format.
