MARIO MAURONER CONTEMPORARAY ART Vienna is pleased to invite you to the upcoming opening of “Et in Arcadia ego” by Hilario ISOLA and Enrico ASCOLI. In collaboration with the Wiener Konzerthaus and further with the friendly support of J.& L. Lobmeyr, the artists transform the gallery’s AAA Design + Projects space into an inspiring sphere, highlighting the delicate connections of nature and art and its sensual synergies.

With “Et in Arcadia ego” the Turin artist Hilario ISOLA (*1976) and the composer and sound artist Enrico ASCOLI (*1974) detect and explore the often perfectly hidden and delicate connections of nature and art and use its sensual synergies.
The work “Strawberry Field For Ever #1” present a series of wooden panels, where the artists press remnants of fruits from various markets, creating a vivid pictorial structure, emerging to a foam-like formation that leads the beholder’s gaze into an endless landscape of different shades of colours. In another series of white plate objects, the colors in turn dissolve into a thin layer revealing their single pigments. Here the objects are used by Isola like a notebook: Experimenting again with fruits he explores their various features and drawing qualities.
Collaborating with the famous Viennese manufactory J.& L. Lobmeyr the artists exhibit the installation “Tuned Glass”.

In addition Hilario ISOLA and Enrico ASCOLI present two sound installations “Marsia” and “Auspicio” in collaboration with and at the nearby Wiener Konzerthaus.
