Concurrent Castings - Pferd Research

CONCURRENT CASTINGS - PFERD RESEARCH frames two simultaneous solo research projects by Helen Grogan and Shelley Lasica, undertaken on site at PFERD Forum for Contemporary Art, Vienna. These separate researches both invest in choreographic strategies as means to expand or re-cast galleries/art spaces. Research-related works are publicly presented in a curatorial format that critiques notions of a solo exhibition as the occupation of one space and one time by one artist, in one site.

Grogan’s research enables the commencement of her forthcoming solo exhibition within/including at PFERD, 2021. Helen Grogan is represented by ReadingRoom, Melbourne.

Lasica’s research at PFERD enables an initial proposal of her project not the thing itself, next presented at Bus Projects, Melbourne, 2019/2020.
