The “Notgalerie” has become a storyline in many different artistic lifes. It is not just a strange wooden building reminding us of a form of liturgical architecture that is rather more typical of Scandinavia than Vienna, it is also a node of a community of highly diverse people, artists and others, and a situation at the crossroads of various landscapes in disruptive and creative interferences.

HEX is, amongst other things that grow in various media and dimensions, a shared ritual and walk demonstrating the landscapes of psychogeography.

They spread over space and time. Places and periods.

In the context and surroundings of the “Notgalerie” we find the sharp edges of fields and construction sites. Modern public traffic and “G’stättn” (Brache, wasteland), flat land and hillsides, art proper and some kind of “creative” use as is typical of undefined venues that City likes to donate for a short while.

It is also home to various plants and animals.

The landscape where the “Notgalerie” will soon have vanished from can stand as an example and a sign for what is happening now, to all of us.
Can we travel across those sharp edges by sending out 3 magical personalities made of 3 people, but also many more, to walk with us, in a process of participation, from site to site, along a magic thread, across dimensions, to discover something fresh but also very familiar about our shared, and each one’s, destiny?

HEX is 6, and 6 are the points of a rough star shining on the disruption we are all moved by now.
