in the frame of Fem-Lab Residency

Cristina will share her research conducted during the Fem lab residency in the Mz*Baltazar’s Lab in the prototyping and subsequent performative action of a wearable bioprosthesis with embedded biocircuits that, connected with an interactive synthesis system, opens up communication between internal and external fluids to better understand our embodiment and interconnection with the environment. Encouraging a re-evaluation through Trans-Hack-Xeno-feminist lens of our relationship with the environment, suggesting a more ecological and fluid understanding of our bodies, sexualities and the natural world.

ABOUT CRISTINA DEZI
Cristina is a queer interdisciplinary artist and designer.
Through a feminist critique she experiments on biomateriality and wearable technology by intersecting textile innovation, audiovisual and interactive sound spaces, biohacking and electronics.
Her research moves in the field of sextech, witchery rituals, cyberfeminism and erotic cinema.
She is the co-founder with Giulia Tomasello of “Bruixes_Lab” a nomadic lab experimenting with kinky biotechnology, transfeminist and DIY practices.
