There is a light, a reflection of snow covering the ground of the courtyard, which stubbornly refuses to come inside, afraid
of being absorbed by the grey matt egg tempera. Anonymous colors, which do not fit into any color code, here are
organized under the name grey, but some seem to me to be unnamable.
Fluorescent lights radiate a not celestial permanent light, which arrived to Painting after the arrival of Humans at the Moon.
The canvases are painted on the floor like children do and regarded with an animal instinct. Egg tempera, demand weeks to
dry and each decision has a particular weight. Thenceforth paintings go vertical and thus to the human eye. The time to look
is here the time of making - an extraordinary time for the contemporary experience. We travel through every step of the
painting just like of an Etruscan fresco, in an activity that measures us, placing us at the same fragile condition as every
painter during the process of making.
