Every Friday within the workshop festival, choreographer/dancer/teacher Kerstin Kussmaul will gather colleagues from the ImPulsTanz faculty to reflect upon topics such as “dance as a practise”, “interdisciplinarity” or “somatics and dance”. Everyone is invited to join and contribute - this is about the community!

Kerstin Kussmaul is dance maker and Somatic Movement Educator. Her artistic focus is on music/dance projects and on the development of new formats of mediation and exploration of movement, such as the mothly gathering Sharing the dance at the Tanzquartier Vienna. Her last project “Vexations: Wir nennen es Arbeit (we call it work)” a music/space/performance installation, was premiered at the ImPulsTanz Festival 2009. Kerstin Kussmaul has an MA in Music and Dance Pedagogics and studied Somatic Movement Education and TCM in Berkeley/USA, as well as Myoreflextherapy and Yoga. She teaches in Europe and the USA.
