A garden, A fruit, A table

Gardens throughout history have been interwoven with notions of beauty, growth, longing and quiet contemplation. In a year of uncertainties, these fruitful grounds are regaining appreciation as one of the few reliable resources amongst ourselves.

This year’s garden is an offering, an open invitation, a platform, a table, a common ground to gather, interact and feast. It brings together foods, plants and objects which have been foraged and made throughout this year and sourced from people and places we encountered.

For one evening, the Krongarten at the Hinterland Gallery becomes a place of celebration and ever-changing rituals of connecting with others, familiar and unknown. This year’s abundance is assembled into sculptures, which will be eaten together.
