The collective Blind Date Collaboration together with the collective Blöchle/Fornezzi, will meet to discuss the projects ?Hobby Horse Ltd.? & ?RFID Choreographies?. Both collectives have founded fake companies in the frames of performance festivals in 2015 (trans?europa, Hildesheim & Treibstoff, Basel). The businesses were situated and performed in the public spheres of the city of Hildesheim and the ineltec trade fair in Basel.
Blind Date Collaboration will present a publication containing snippets and material that have emerged during the process of creating Hobby Horse Ltd. Tobias Malcharzik and Birgit Schachner from trans?europa festival will join the discussion to bring in perspectives of hosting such projects as curators. Dominik Fornezzi will talk about the journey of RFID Choreographies, which continued after the Treibstoff festival.
What can such artistic strategies do in the interactions with their public contexts?
How do these formats relate to performance festivals and the medium of the stage?
Where and when do moments of friction emerge – personally / artistically / socially?
Blind Date Collaboration aims to create experiences and find creative strategies on specific and contextbased problematics. Our name comes out of the basic idea that there are always strengths, skills and ideas that can profit from creative and unexpected collaboration. We come from different cultural and professional backgrounds. We believe that an open and productive dialogue from different perspectives is possible and fruitful.
