\"Wild urban spaces are often thought of as worthless, dangerously out of control, aesthetically unappealing and generally the antithesis of what urban public open space
should be. My research suggests that these places have an important positive role to play in urban open space typologies; and that many of their qualities and characteristics have a wider application to the planning, design and management of urban public open space.\"
